There is nothing more exciting than getting into a new season. It’s welcoming a new time of this year and saying goodbye to the last. Breaking out the seasonal decor and changing out your seasonal clothes to put away last season’s attires, it is just something to look forward to.
As we approach the first day of Autumn tomorrow, I am reminiscing about this summer and how much I was able to be outside to fully enjoy it. I can’t remember the last time I was able to do that, maybe first summer after graduating college. I was able to lay by the pool, go to the beach, go hiking/camping, spend time in the yard watering flowers and veggies to be able to enjoy them. It was a great summer that I will cherish forever.
Now, I’m creating a list of things I’d love to fully partake in this fall. Even though there are a few things I wish I could do, like attend a Patriots game and go to the Big E among other fairs, I know there will be plenty of other things I will take pleasure in such as pumpkin & apple picking, going on a hayride, getting lost in a corn maze, hiking in different trails throughout New England during the foliage to see the changing of the leaves, visiting local wineries to taste their new varietals, and so much more.
It is truly a blessing that I have been able to make full use of my unexpected free time to better myself and soak in the beauty around me in the great outdoors. Sometimes we lose sight and all we need is a reset button to remember what is truly important in life. Taking in this gorgeous day and going out to make the most of it!
